Welcome to our Paxinos lab, a Transcat Biomedical lab. Formerly Spectrum Technologies, the Paxinos lab is an ISO 17025:2017 calibration lab providing commercial instrument calibration and test equipment repair services for a wide variety of measurement and test equipment. Our laboratory and field offices provide quality instrument calibration and test equipment services to manufacturing, research & development, service, testing, engineering, aviation, and medical/healthcare organizations nationwide.
The Paxinos lab team is primarily composed of military-trained Precision Measuring Equipment Specialists (PMEL), microwave communication specialists, biomedical service technicians, and electronic repair technicians with relevant training and experience in the metrology field. In fact, our current staff averages 15-20 years of experience in instrument calibration and test equipment repair disciplines.
At Transcat Biomedical, we give our customers the confidence to trust in their test instrument measurements by using definitive measurement practices, standard metrology principles, and high-end standards to determine if a test instrument is performing according to the manufacture’s specifications or special specifications agreed upon by the customer.

Transcat also offers Reference Level Calibrations in multiple disciplines - with faster turnaround than the OEM. Few commercial calibration operations are equipped with the quality systems that allow Transcat to offer ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accredited reference level calibrations. Transcat is one of a select few commercial calibration operations qualified to be accredited as a Reference Laboratory in the disciplines of Temperature, Electrical, Pressure, Dimensional, Mass and Humidity.
