Automatically Collected Information

Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Transcat when you visit the Sites. This information is used for the operation of the Sites, to maintain quality of the Sites, and to provide Transcat general statistics regarding use of the Sites.

Use of Cookies

The Sites may use "cookies" to help you personalize your online experience. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your device by a web page server. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can generally only be read by the organization that issued the cookie to you.

One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide a convenience feature, for example to tell the web page server that you have returned to a specific page. In addition, if you register with the Sites or services, a cookie helps Transcat to recall your specific information on subsequent visits. This simplifies the process of recording your Personal Information, such as billing addresses, shipping addresses, and so on. When you return to the same Site using cookies, the information you previously provided can be retrieved, so you can easily use the Transcat features that you customized.

You have the ability to accept or decline cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser settings to decline cookies if you prefer. If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the Transcat services or Sites you visit.  Your browser may have a "Do Not Track" feature. This lets you tell websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. These features are not yet uniform across browsers. Accordingly, Transcat does not currently respond to these signals.
