Micronics PF LV550 portable area / velocity meter is used to log level, velocity and water temperature in open channels, partially full sewer pipes and surcharged pipes without a flume or weir. The meter uses a submerged ultrasonic sensor to continuously measure both the velocity and level in the open channel, as the sensor has no moving parts it is resistant to fouling and corrosion.
PF LV550 flow meter is housed within a compact, rugged, water tight and dustproof case and the ultrasonic sensor is completely sealed allowing it to be mounted inside the pipe or at the bottom of the channel providing continuous measurement and up to 4 years logging from Alkaline "D" cells.
